Tim, you've been elected by Bil P. as the next stop on our journey through the blogworld.
While no formal introductions were made, we met the other weekend on Rooney Road. I was riding south with Dennis F. and Joey B. I'm sure you know Brian from cross circles. Anyways, thanks for hosting today.
My betting days are over with. I am getting concerned about my decision making in general. For example, I have a Felt TT bike. It did not with the ToC Prologue, a Cervelo did. Should I sell it and get a new bike?
I am going to keep an eye on the Slowtwitch Forum to see what the experts say.
i think some clown should have done it a fixed gear like baldwin did to win nats a few years ago. just to prove that it's possible to be fast on one. not me though, that loop on the oval would have been tricky.
Wiggins could have done it! Wasn't he the one that did a fixie in the prologue for the tour a few years back? Actually, I think it was that silly Giro prologue that was a 1k perfectly straight and flat shot.
Did you see that some of the Zipp sponsored guys were running powertap discs? I'd sure hate to throw away that chunk of change in 5 months after the hub gets moist and stops working...
Hutchison mentioned that Dave Z. had a Powertap equipped disc, I'll wait for the pictures on that one.
Fixed gear would have been classic. That brings back memories of Bret Hunter kicking my ass at CCTT on a homemade bike, sometimes with electronic shifting, sometimes without.
White Mountain Road Club needs to hurry up and post results from the VOS crit, how did Zack Morris do?
...Looks like all the slipstream guys were running them.
Don't worry Seth, it wasn't the bike change that hurt Dave Z., it was that goofy facial hair.
"After an inspirational talk from Mr. Belder, Zach tore off in the crit, laping the field and then crossing the line in full-on x-up wheelie action to secure the overall title as Kelly cheered him on from the sidelines" at least, that's the way I imagined the final stage of VOS.
That would be Mr. Belding, not Belder. Come on Hutchison, get your head in the game!
On another note, kudos to all of the racers out there that work, have kids, maintain quality relationships with their spouses, enjoy the occasional adult beverage, and still get results. If that isn't "living the dream" I don't know what is.
Ooops... the boss must have interupted me while I was trying to type that...
Really, the best part of the TOC yesterday was Cipo. I was a bit dissapointed that his skinsuit didn't have more "flair", but it was sweet to see him back in the saddle. Gotta pay the taxman!
The only thing that makes me feel better about working right now is knowing that Pinkerton is out suffering in the wind. A) he's suffering in the wind and B) it might actually make a man of him.
Speaking of men, who do you like in today's crit . . . for "women"?
Too many allegations flying around. Nobody needs that sort of bad press.
It is time for a new sport, new vocabulary, and a new start. From here on out, you can find me everyday at GB Fish&Chips, watching football, and getting pissed! When does Manchester United play Arsenal?
I'll leave Levi alone. He is a talented cyclist, but he has to live with A) being himself and B) his decision to join a team that has a dirty, sordid past.
Sorry for my absence, I had to go to Sushi Den for lunch.
Are you going to break out the jerk store line again? Jeebus, not my fault you are working with criminals and can't get down to Denver for lunch. You do work with the football team right?
damn, you city folk getting to eat the best food on earth have me more than a little jealous. i have had the honor of eating at sushi den once, unreal, but oddly it was after a visit to the aquarium. no irony there. i am trying to watch it tonight without really knowing exactly what happens, the aggressors sound strong though so far from your other comments.
Ooops... sorry Tim! We'll try to avoid spoiling things for you. Not used to having tv coverage for bike racing. I should probably stop watching the live feed as well...
I am really hoping this doesn't turn out like last year's American stage races with a ridiculously large time gap opening in one stage making the rest of the race pointless.
I lobbied long and hard to try to turn the Aquarium into a catch and eat themed sushi restaurant, I obviously failed.
Brian, how many times do I have to tell you to stay away from the beef from the school lunch program?
I just got the report from the Womens' Crit at ToC. The word of the day was fast, but no break so surges galore. The end of the stage should be really fast given the non-technical nature of the circuit. I'm glad I didn't mysteriously end up on a team roster for that one, uhhhh.
Where does the day go? It is just about time for me to leave early for the day.
Tim, what's the call for tomorrow? Where are you sending us?

Yo Tim! Thanks for hosting! The first cross race of the season is coming up in just a month! Will you be there?
Rubin - are we betting on today's TOC stage?

How much do you want to bet that Michael "Big Daddy" Ball will try to pay Cipo in denim?
Is denim tax-deductable?
Not in Italy.
Oh snap, VOS results are up. The only thing holding me back from the perfect week now is the KHTT start list!
Why the heck are we working on President's day? That's BS.
George Washington would have wanted it that way.
The only thing that makes me feel better about working right now is knowing that Pinkerton is out suffering in the wind. A) he's suffering in the wind and B) it might actually make a man of him.

I thought Tokyo Joe's cancelled the women's crit?
Too many allegations flying around. Nobody needs that sort of bad press.

That sounds like a damn fine plan right there.
Mmmm... Fish-n-Chips...
Wow, that's timing. Tomorrow night Fox Soccer Channel is replaying this weekend's match between ManU and Arsenal, starting at 5:00pm.
We need some of those euro-football scarves you always see.
Let Levi Ride
It almost looks like Levi is running for President! I'd vote for him...
And another picture I came across of the Zipp Powertap disc
I'll leave Levi alone. He is a talented cyclist, but he has to live with A) being himself and B) his decision to join a team that has a dirty, sordid past.
Sorry for my absence, I had to go to Sushi Den for lunch.
I'm all for Levi getting back into the Tour. Too bad he picked the team he did...
Only jerks go to Sushi Den for lunch, without inviting their friends.
Are you going to break out the jerk store line again? Jeebus, not my fault you are working with criminals and can't get down to Denver for lunch. You do work with the football team right?
The school only exists FOR the football team.
Don't even get me started on academics! Speaking of . . . if a lead out train heads towards San Rosa . . . Where do they catch Jackson Stewart?
Did anybody give Cipo the memo that his leadout train won't be worth a damn?
Yeah, but Cipo has extra motivation. Ball told him has to win, or go back to Italy.
Stewart's making a hard day of it. I'm guessing he gets caught on the final circuits. There are final circuits, right?
There are circuits. Looks like the women's race just wrapped up on said circuits with Lara Van Gilder not taking the win . . .
I might have had a shot in that race, but I doubt it.
I think I ate tainted beef for lunch...
damn, you city folk getting to eat the best food on earth have me more than a little jealous. i have had the honor of eating at sushi den once, unreal, but oddly it was after a visit to the aquarium. no irony there. i am trying to watch it tonight without really knowing exactly what happens, the aggressors sound strong though so far from your other comments.

Brian, how many times do I have to tell you to stay away from the beef from the school lunch program?
Ha ha, you said spoil . . . it's all fun and games until you have to use a forklift to get a half dead cow back in the slaughter line.
"mystery meat" just sounded so intriguing...
"Ouch! My bones are so brittle. But I always drink plenty of...Malk?"
This is what our children have to look forward to . . . thanks Oprah.

Tim, thanks for being our most interactive host.
Yeah, "New Steve" is a good mark... er, I mean guy! I hadn't come across his blog before. I'll meet you guys there!
Looking forward to it. I managed a whole day of work and a fair bit of interaction.
Thanks!
Absolutely Hilarious!
Yo Tim, cells not working. Left my charger at home. When you coming down to ride, and are you going to do Stazio?
